ImageToday Ken, our newest member gave us a brief overview of his family, career and his rejoining of Rotary. Ken's opening remarks were quite an eye opener to a lot in attendance and probably shared by a few also.  Ken opened by saying he was here today because "he failed at Retirement". Ken retired from his previous work in Edmonton, 50 years with careers in banking, Law, Government, Farm Marketing, Trainer, Consulting, Dispute Resolution and Mediation and moved to the Coast to Retire. He bought a motor coach which he and his wife thought was their dream. After some time traveling Ken realized that this was not for him and returned to pursue what he really enjoyed, working with people in dispute resolution and mediation. Since returning to the work force Ken has opened a Mediation Practice in South Surrey and is looking forward to using his skills with his most recent collaboration with "Mediators Without Borders",
